The wedding itself will be held on Friday 19th of September in the evening (guests to arrive between 4-5pm)
We don't want you to come all the way to Granada only to get to hang out for one night! We are planning a few events for the days before and after the wedding so that those who would like to enjoy the company of the fellow guests can meet up.
We have not decided an exact schedule but we will be holding some sort of events for those who are interested from tuesday 16th for the nights preceding the celebration. Also, there will be a 'Paella Party' on the saturday afternoon following the wedding for everybody to recharge. We may also try to have an outing on the Sunday (possibly on a boat from Malaga) and we will be around until the following Tuesday/Wednesday.

Getting to Granada
Flights:
The recommended airport is Malaga, but other options also available
Granada:
The first point to make is that Granada airport is a regional airport and is not served by many airlines (there are some flights from London) which can make it quite expensive.
Malaga (1-2 h from Granada)
The largest airport in the region is Malaga airport and is easily connected from the european hubs like London, Frankfurt etc...
There are buses every hour from Malaga bus station (10 min in train from the airport, trains every 30 min) and also some buses directly from Malaga airport to Granada. The trip takes 2 hours (a bit more than 1 hour if driving a rental car).
For bus timetables and tickets: http://www.alsa.es/en/
The tickets for the bus can be purchased in the moment.
Madrid (5-6 h from Granada)
It is the main airport in Spain. However, it does not have a great connection land with Granada. So I only recommend it if you are interested in visiting Madrid city.
Renting a car could be the more direct way, but depending on the time of the day one can face some big city traffic near Madrid. If everything is ok, the trip takes about 4:30 hours.
There are trains and buses to Granada, both leaving from Madrid city center. So, you have to add 1 hour trip from the airport to the city to the 5 hour journey to Granada.

Barcelona (45 min flight to Granada)
If you are interested in travelling via Barcelone there are about 1 or 2 flights Barcelona-Granada with the company Vueling, usually at good prices.
